- Retain control of your online presence
- Single domain
- Applies to .au domains only
How It Works
Domain ownership transfers are not usually a complicated process and there are only a few simple steps involved. Please note, but there are a few details you will need to confirm in order to allow the transfer to happen smoothly.
Tip
There are publicly available tools that you can use to look up your domain information. You can use these tools to find out which registrar manages your domain, the domain status, the registrant contact information and name server settings.
Afilias is the managing body for .au domain registrations. You can perform look ups for .au domains at auDA.
Step 1: Verify the Registrant Contact Details
Specifically, check the email address. As part of the transfer process, you are also required to authorise the transfer via email. An email will be sent to the Registrant Email Address, so you must have access to this email address. If you do not receive email from this address, you can log into your the domain management console with your existing registrar and change the Registrant Contact email address.
Step 2: Order the Transfer
Once you have all the information you need to begin, you can start the order transfer process by contacting us on support@webclick.com.au
Please Note:
- The transfer will result in a new 1 year domain name licence being issued to the proposed new registrant. The registrant is not entitled to be reimbursed for the unused portion of their domain name licence.
- It can take up to 5 working days for the changes to take effect for the transfer to be completed.
- If complications during the process arise and WebClick must become involved further there will be a charge of $121 per hour for our time (billed at a minimum of one hour, then charged in increments of 30 minutes after the first hour).
Step 3: Approve the transfer
An order confirmation email will be sent to the Registrant Email Address from the registrar. To proceed with the order, you must follow the instructions in the email.
Once the transfer approval step has been completed, the rest of the process will proceed automatically. Transfers usually take up to five business days to be finalised and once it has been completed, you will receive an email confirming the transfer is complete.
