Following the Dot
If you have used the internet, you’ll be familiar with web addresses, or domain names, and their structure – your domain name DOT com, DOT com DOT au, etcetera etcetera. But what does this all mean and should you be sticking to a certain domain type?
What follows the dot is known as the domain extension. A top-level domain (or TLD) is a domain name with a single level of domain extension, eg .com, .org, .net, .plumbing or .travel.
A small number of top-level domains can then be followed by a country code (or ccTLD), eg .com.au, .co.uk, .co.nz.
WebClick has a large number of domain names available for registration, view our Domain Price List to see the full range.
